I'm getting annoyed with Esa's server seeming to be down all the time :(, But last night when it was working for a bit me using my lvl 21 nelf hunter and Azunai using his 28 rogue went to do some WSG together!

Plundar (Az's rogue), was not having too much fun last night because he is finding that with the new patch that theres not alot of things he can kill.. He has about 950hp, which I don't think is alot for lvl 28 is it? Though I cant really rememeber how much esa had. I think that it the patch really has changed things for alot of people, but I shall continue this in the patch thoughts thread!

I honestly couldn't tell you, but rogues tend to have pretty low HP, so don't worry about it. I'm guessing that it's not your stamina that's been nerfed, but your abilities, as rogues rely on dropping mobs before they can do too much damage to 'em.

Maybe he just didn't pick a very leveling/grinding friendly spec? That can make things pretty difficult once you get into the higher levels, although I dunno how true that is for rogues.

I dunno what spec Az is, but what I found is that (for me, at least) subtlety worked wonders. The amount of damage you can do with one ambush normally takes the mob down to 30-50% health. The only problem is, if you miss, you're kinda screwed. :P

i finally stuck with this from much help from edd, and a guild member

Basically, i sucked, i was a great rogue, but didnt have a strategy, and went full combat, without thinking of anything else (stupid)

so i stuck to this

improved sinister
duel specialization
malice

all full ^^

ruthlesness
last two on endurance presision

I have 20 talent points so i spent em all on those ^

Tactic , this is coming from a level 70 rogue

cheap shot
sinister
gouge
sinister
eviserate

use gouge alot

you stealth without re vanishing

ss, ss, ss ev <-- last resort

if all else fails

SS and eviserate - Plus evasion

so these are my tactics, and my new talents etc, thoughts?

Gouge, run around to the mob's back, then backstab, repeat. This is a great way to take down mobs quickly, just be careful of others' aggro radius. Also, whenever you can, if you're sub. specced, start out with an ambush, as stated above. Then you can gouge run around to the back, and backstab. After this, most mobs'll die.

My rogue is got 69 last night, and I'm all subtlety. I have zero problems with mobs, of course I'm more about the pvp performance. Haven't had a good test of that, since all the bgs I'm in now are full of geared up 70s. I've switched over to pretty much using hemorrhage exclusively instead of sinister strike - it does a little less damage, but costs less energy so you can build up combo points quickly...

So my current pve attack goes:
Preparation (+2 cp)
Shadowstep
Pick pocket :)
Cheap Shot (+3 cp - full now)
Rupture
Backstab
Backstab (sometimes can get a 2nd in before CS breaks)
Ghostly Strike
Hemo (and repeat until back up to 5 cp)
Eviscerate

Rinse and repeat :)

i was subtelty, but my rogue was hitting not a great deal, so im full CB specced, its going well atm, but any suggestions then? considering i cant do backstab, and is it a good idea? or chunderish?

Subtlety really doesn't shine that much until later levels, so I'd go with CB a little bit more, then respec later.

Been playing with Bill and Cromley. We've been driving the LFG groups crazy, because with the three of us in a group they can't vote any of us out, so if they get abnoxious we just drive them insane until they quit. Fearing every mob, walking through the instance, or forgetting to heal will do that to unruly players.
